It seems the country has gone completely “cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.” Our nation feels like it’s at a boiling point, with every new headline somehow more ridiculous than the last. And while it feels like the world is laughing at us, the reality here is not funny. We face massive hurdles. Many of us have lost family and friends over politics, healthcare costs are spiralling, and while billionaires are being courted, women, queer folks, people of color, the poor, the sick, and the elderly are being left behind. Citizens have started to resist, and I felt I had to capture it. This is history unfolding. History may repeat itself, but the images I’ve captured are one of a kind — they will never repeat.
